Identity Theft, Prescription Fraud Suspects Arrested
A Ventura County taskforce arrested three people and charged them with identity theft. They also face charges of prescription fraud, burglary and conspiracy. According to police, local pharmacies in Oxnard and Thousand Oaks reported a spate of fraudulent prescriptions in September and October.

Investigators discovered that the three suspects were working together. All three suspects face charges in Ventura County. One suspect also has outstanding warrants from Santa Clara County and the State of Nevada for similar crimes. She faces 21 felony counts in Ventura County, and remains jailed on a $500,000 bond. In addition, she faces eight felony counts of identity theft in another jurisdiction, and also has a $200,000 bond in that case. She is a resident of Oakland, CA.

The second suspect, a 21-year-old Lodi resident, faces three felony counts related to the matter. He remains jailed on a $100,000 bond. The third suspect, a 20-year-old also faces three felony charges and a misdemeanor possession charge. He remains jailed on a $500,000 bond. All three suspects will return to court on November 15.
