Drug Possession Charge Follows Unlicensed Driver
Drug Possession Charge Follows Unlicensed Driver
A man driving a truck faces charges of drug possession following a traffic stop. A motorcycle officer spotted the semi-trailer in Moorpark, which was displaying a homemade license plate. The plate purported to be from the state of “Califas” a slang term for California.

After stopping the driver, the officer determined that the man was under the influence of narcotics. The officer then arrested the man on suspicion of DUI and narcotics possession. In addition, the man had no valid driver’s license, but he did have a warrant for his arrest.

The officer works for a new detail in Ventura County to monitor commercial traffic in the county. The man’s truck was impounded and towed from the scene because officers determined it to be unsafe to drive.

Moorpark Drug Possession Lawyer

When you face charges for drug crimes, hire an experienced drug possession lawyer like Robert Helfend. Mr. Helfend has 35 years of experience in criminal defense. He takes cases in Ventura County and throughout Southern California.

Drug possession laws in California have changed, but only for certain drugs and offenses. Opioid possession, methamphetamine possession and possession for sale still carry serious charges. An experienced criminal defense attorney will fight aggressively to get the charges against you reduced or dropped. When that’s not possible, your attorney will work toward the best possible outcome for your case.

Mr. Helfend manages every case personally. That means you’ll always work directly with him on your case. In larger, less personal law firms, your case could be passed to a less experienced attorney. When you work with Robert Helfend, he will always be with you in court and throughout the judicial process. In addition, Mr. Helfend can help you get eligible prior drug convictions removed from your record.

Don’t work with an inexperienced attorney, and don’t attempt to represent yourself in court. Contact Robert Helfend or call toll-free at (800) 834-6434, (805) 273-5611, (310) 456-3317 or (818) 591-2809 for an immediate consultation on your Ventura drug possession case.
