Sex crimes charges for Ventura man
A Ventura man faces sex crimes charges in a sexual assault case. According to Ventura police, a third party reported that a local minor had been sexually assaulted in that city. Their investigation led to the arrest of a 26-year-old Ventura resident.

Ventura police say that the suspect and victim came into contact with each other on a dating website. The suspect convinced the victim to travel to his residence, where they engaged in sexual activity.

Police obtained a search warrant and searched the suspect’s residence. They collected evidence that corroborated the victim’s statements. Additionally, the police believe the suspect may have had sexual contact with other minors. Police arrested the man on suspicion of multiple felonious sex offenses.

When you face charges for sex crimes, your best strategy is to hire an experienced sex crimes lawyer like Robert Helfend. Mr. Helfend will fight aggressively for your rights and freedoms. In his more than 30 years of criminal defense practice, he has represented thousands of Southern Californians.

Many criminal defense attorneys don’t want to take sex crimes cases. When the victim is a minor, the case becomes even less attractive to some lawyers. Mr. Helfend does not judge his clients based on the charges against them. Instead, he works hard to prepare a rigorous defense.

The “sex offender” label can make it difficult to find appropriate employment or housing. It can also interfere with established family and social relationships.
