Drunk driving charges are serious, even though prosecutors charge the vast majority of drunk driving arrests as misdemeanors. A drunk driving conviction can have long-lasting consequences. That’s why you need an experienced DUI attorney to assist you throughout the administrative and judicial processes.

Most drunk driving arrests involve first-time offenders. You may not realize that a drunk driving arrest produces parallel but independent administrative and judicial processes. Upon an arrest, the DMV suspends your license immediately. To challenge the suspension, you must request a DMV hearing virtually immediately. You must hire an experienced DUI attorney to work on your behalf.

The criminal process takes place over a longer period of time. Depending upon the circumstances of your case, you may or may not be jailed while awaiting trial. Again, your successful defense depends on having exceptional representation.
