A Ventura jury convicted an Anaheim man of DUI, and causing great bodily injury while driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08. Dean Kellum Louer, 54, crashed into another motorist on the shoulder of Highway 101 in Ventura County. Following the crash, Louer put his vehicle in reverse and struck the other motorist, who was standing behind Louer’s vehicle on the shoulder. The victim was knocked into a culvert and sustained serious physical injuries.
